About Us

Sarah and Simon are a mother-son duo who recently decided to collaborate, using their skills to design and create for people who share their passion. 

Sarah and Simon are both skilled yarn 'tanglers', who have been creating beautiful items for friends and family alike for many years. 

Sarah (THE) began MagicKnotCo in 2025 while living near Liverpool, more recently relocating to Cheshire to reconnect with family. She has more WIP's hidden under her bed than there are Wednesdays in the whole year, but not to be dissuaded, she occasionally pulls them out to look at them all and remind herself that she really should finish some.. especially the top she started in 2015. She loves to expand her yarn stash periodically, but has discovered since the house move, that the stash itself is now the prevailing theme in the living room decor.

Simon, or resident sticker designer and general know-it-all, has taken his talent for woodworking and used it to produce some beautiful solid wood/resin hybrid crochet hooks, sometimes using semi-precious crystals to create a truly individual crochet tool. Each one is hand-turned and finished by Simon's own fair hands. (we know this because he bitches like a girl whenever he forgets to use his safety gear. So far he is down to 8.73 fingers, but thankfully he still has both eyes.)
